His Worship the Mayor, Cllr A.M. Mkhize, together with Ward Councillor Mr. Shelembe and other councillors, officially launched the rehabilitation of Hajee Jamal Street in Ward 6.

Scope of Work Includes:
- Removal of unsuitable material and replacement with G5 fill
- Layer works stabilization
- Cleaning and repairing 43 stormwater drainage structures
- Resurfacing with 40mm premix
- Landscaping, road signs, and markings
Mayor Mkhize emphasized that this project brings long-awaited relief to residents who have been calling for the rehabilitation of this road. He further assured that more infrastructure developments are on the way – including road upgrades, streetlights, and stormwater improvements as the rainy season approaches.
