With the presence of the His Worship the Mayor Cllr S.R Mbatha, Cllrs, Executive managers, eNdumeni LED and Tourism unit successfully hosted the SMME workshop where more than 80 upcoming entrepreneurs came in full capacity to listen to presentation done on the day. Held at the Moth Hall, the workshop effectively provided the platform for business linkages and networking between organs of state, SMMEs and expanded businesses.
Endumeni Mayor S.R Mbatha encouraged the SMMEs to work hard, to understand that it of high important to know that starting small business has some risk factors. “Small business owners must have perseverance and able to develop a mentality of self-reliance, self-motivation and to be goal driven at all times despite of any challenges they may face while building their businesses,” he added.
The workshop was targeted at the aspiring entrepreneurs as well as struggling existing businesses within eNdumeni area.
During the workshop, a number of key issues that needed to acknowledged and implemented relating the small businesses. Compilation of a comprehensive Database of all the LED related interventions within Endumeni area was a burning factor that has to be done urgently through partnership and support of Ward councillor and other strategic partners.
